First constructed in 1963 after the storm of ’62 destroyed the original cottage, the Sea Jay was fully renovated in 2000 and updated in 2008 (new entrance doors, new living room furniture and hardwood floors for the living room and hallways.)
We are on a dead end street with beach access less than 100 feet from our door. There are awesome beach views from the large decks and gazebo on the front of the house.
We are directly across the street from the Princess Royale Hotel and their in-house restaurant “Schooners”. Numerous restaurants, shops, liquor and grocery stores are within a short walking distance of the property. The Sea Jay is only a 5-10 minute bus ride from downtown Ocean City and the board walk .
The house is set-up as two nearly identical units (top / bottom floor) with access gained by stairs on the outside deck. Each floor contains its own Kitchen (with stove, microwave, dishwasher and large refrigerator w/ ice maker), living and dining areas as well as washer/dryers. Each level has three bedrooms with 2 rooms containing Queen Size beds and a kid’s room with twin beds. Queen size sleeper sofas are in the living rooms. There are three TV’s w/VCR on each level. Each level has one full bath in the hallway and 1 half bath located between the back bedrooms. There are also two outside showers around back with grill and picnic tables.
There is Central Heat and Air throughout with separate thermostats, top and bottom. Each unit also has its own phone allowing for calls between the floors.
We rent this property as a single unit only and the pricing shown is not for each floor but for both. Single floors may be available in the off-season at reduced rates.
We have found the Sea Jay a perfect getaway for large family gatherings or two families who enjoy vacationing together. We have the ability to spend precious time with friends and family but also retreat to our own space when needed.
